"My names Ellen, I'm from a very (very) small town called Tillsonburg, Ontario. I would love to represent the first years and draw on my past experience to make this year one to remember. I am on the advocacy street team, humanities society, humanities mentorship initiative, pre-law society and more. I am a lifeguard, swim instructor and camp counsellor and have an unhealthy obsession with anything history related. I love everything about Mcmaster but in my very unbiased opinion, Hummers are the best."
"I'm looking to major in Philosophy and after my undergrad go to law school. I've taken part in the Horizons leadership conference at McMaster as well as several leadership workshops at my high school, during high school I was VP on the Drama council as well as the lead in the school play 2 years running, I was a camp counsellor and lifeguard. I love talking to new people so everyone should feel free to approach me whenever they want and we can get to know each other!"
"Linguistics. Co-leader of an improv club & social justice group. Extremely social & approachable; if you like dancing and kpop, I've got you covered! smile emoticon This is also my first time campaigning, but I like trying out new things and seizing opportunities. Vote Stilwell for your first year to be swell!!"
"Hi everyone! My name is Kristin Weiman and I am currently a second year Music student in hopes to become an elementary Music and French teacher. I've been recently involved with the MHS by lending a helping hand when needed as well as participating in their many events! One interesting fact about myself is that I love to eat cake!"
"I'm in my third year of JPPL, and absolutely love the program. I am also an MSU maroon, so if you have any questions regarding McMaster and upcoming events, do not hesitate to ask! I want to be this year's third-year Social coordinator for the MHS, because I want to showcase how awesome the faculty of humanities is to everyone. I want everyone to know about the events that we are having and contribute ideas of their own as well! Stay cool hummers"
"Hi, I’m Charlie and I’m a third-year History exchange university studying at McMaster for the 2015 academic year on a transfer from Warwick University in England. Doing an exchange to North America has been a dream of mine since before I even started my degree back home, and so far I have loved every second of it. I love learning about different cultures and it’s been great to see how Canadians are equally enthusiastic about learning about us. For me, this role would be a really cool way of making loads of friends and immersing myself more with my current classmates, who have all been really friendly and welcoming! If I was your social coordinator, I would work hard to be as inclusive and possible – cultivating the family atmosphere I have so far enjoyed at Mac through regular events such as breakfast meals at Centro or Bistro which would serve to reinforce that family feel and make everyone feel like they are a part of a community. I am up for all suggestions and I generally don’t hold back from anything – proven my decision to walk around campus with a whiteboard shown in the picture above! Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you all throughout the year"
"Hi! I’m Evelyn Priestley. I’m in fourth year Honours History and Anthropology. I’ve been a Hummer Rep for the past three amazing years at McMaster and I’ve also been involved in a number of Humanities based clubs. One interesting fact about myself: my favourite colour is blue, blue, blue! (Please laugh at my joke and check out my page!) Thank you!"
