Welcome Week helps to engage students in the campus life by moving them in a week before the fall semester begins. Each faculty and residences provides different activities throughout the day and week. Main events during Welcome Week include but are not limited to Faculty Day, Faculty Night, Welcome Week Concert etc. We look forward to seeing the Humanities class of 2022!!!!

Transportation included in ticket price. 
Buses departing from outside of the McMaster Student Centre (beside the parking lot) at 5:45 PM. PLEASE BE ON TIME. 

BRING: signed waiver, student card, health card & driver's license. YOU MUST HAVE THIS WAIVER SIGNED IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED INTO THE BANQUET HALL. Click button below to print wavier.

Dress Code: Semi-formal
Full 4 course meal & cash bar.

McMaster Faculty Societies have put together the best idea to welcome our LATE WINTER SNOW with some outdoor tubing!!!

Monday February 29th McMaster students will bring tubing to a whole new level.

Tubing: 7PM to 10PM
Location: Chicopee Tube Park
Pick Up: 5:15PM (on campus TBD)

Join the MHS at the Alpine Tower for a spooky night by the campfire! Enjoy good company, scary stories, delicious roasted marshmallows, and jams provided by MacBEAT!

Let us take you there. Meet us in the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) Atrium @ 5:45pm and we will walk you over.

HTLC: Career Conversation

Speaker:  Natasha Szostak
Occupation/ Field of Interest: Program Co-ordinator of the iPad program for Seniors. Her background is Communication Studies & Multimedia.

Career Conversation: Program Coordinator: Join a small group of 15-20 students in a one-hour interactive session with Natasha Szostak, program coordinator. Natasha will share insight about her career and answer your questions about education, career path, advice, trends in the field, day in the life and more!

About Natasha Szostak: Natasha Szostak is the Program Coordinator of the iLearn iLive Well iPad Program for Seniors. This program is organized by the Regional Geriatric Program at St. Peter's Hospital, and is supported by the McMaster/St. Peter's Chair in Aging and the GERAS Centre. The purpose of the program is to teach local seniors who own Apple iPads how to use their devices to connect with their family and friends. Volunteering for this program has opened the door to this unique career path. 

About Career Conversations: Several Career Conversations will take place throughout this academic year representing various career fields including law, media, human resources, communications, public health, social justice, teaching, youth services, policy and the environment. Students can register for Career Conversations on OSCARplus.

Space is limited. Please register early to reserve your spot!

The MHS is offering you a second shot at Clubs Fest - this time all of the clubs are related to the Humanities. If you couldn't find them at MSU Clubs Fest, or if you didn't have time to check it out, join us on Thursday September 17th in Clubspace (MUSC 215) from 11:30-2:30.
